Now that we're officially a couple, we now aim for saving up as much as we can to begin a family together, as well as a house for us to live in... I've been cooking dinner since we returned from our honeymoon, trying to take the role of a house-wife that also works full-time. How long will this last? I guess we'll just have to see, but it sure does seem like we're saving every night, instead of ordering take outs constantly! (Well, we do go out, but it's gone down to about 2-3 times a week, instead of every single night... and weekends.)
Despite the effort of buckling down to save money, it's come to my attention that my lovely birthday is coming up, which means it's the day that I pamper myself to getting "something" I want. Oh, it was so much easier to justify what I would get for myself to celebrate MY birthday, when I was single. After much debate, I've negotiated with Hubs that this year's birthday gift will be a part of 2 other "gift" events. So what the hell does this mean? It means that this gift that I'm getting for MYSELF (from our joint account) will negate this year's Xmas and next year's birthday. Is this harsh? I don't think it's that bad at all, since I usually make a big purchase about once a year anyways. Next X-mas will be the time for another big purchase. MWAHAHAHA...
So, without further ado, here's the lovely object of my affection that I am quite keen on receiving:
YEA BABY!!
It's been a very very... oh so long time since the last time I ever touched a piano, and despite wanting to play again my ego for making horrible noises while trying to brush up just dwindled down the urge to play again. Thankfully technology has caught up and made these fantastic things called DIGITAL PIANOS, which is wonderful for people like me, that would want to practice while being the only ones hearing my mistakes. I could play all night, bang the keys as hard as I'd like and no one would be bothered.. except if I actually start smashing the poor thing... But yes, it's a hefty amount of money that was spent as a gift, but I believe it's well worth it. A real acoustic piano would've cost a few thousand anyways.
My yamaha p155 will be arriving sometime this week, and I'll definitely write more about it once it gets here and why I decided on purchasing this model, instead of others such as the cheaper yamaha p-95 or casio privia px-330, or the slightly more expensive roland fp4, as well as the highly recommended roland fp7, and the others...
